Ages 8–12 (Word Explorers)
2 sessions per week (60 minutes each)
Monday/Tuesday
Focus: Vocabulary, storytelling, reading comprehension, creative writing
Activities: Word quests, group storytelling, wizard journals

Foundations of Words
In this session, we explore the building blocks of language by understanding what words are and how they work. Children will learn about different types of words—such as nouns, verbs, and adjectives—and discover how these parts of speech come together to create meaning. This foundational knowledge sets the stage for expanding vocabulary, improving writing, and becoming confident word wizards.
Word Usage and Creative Writing
In this session, learners will discover how to use words effectively to create vivid sentences and stories. They’ll practice writing creatively, using descriptive language, and exploring fun ways to express their ideas through words. It’s all about turning vocabulary into captivating communication.
Spelling and Pronunciation
This session focuses on mastering the rules and patterns that make spelling easier and pronunciation clearer. Kids will explore common spelling rules, tricky silent letters, and unusual word spellings while practicing how to say words correctly. With fun activities and challenges, they’ll gain confidence in reading, writing, and speaking, key skills for becoming true word wizards.
Advanced Word Wizardry
This session dives deeper into the magic of words by exploring their origins, playing with word puzzles, and enhancing vocabulary with creative techniques. Students will sharpen their language skills and have fun mastering advanced wordplay to become true word wizards.
